Experience
Harry Pfeifer represents clients in corporate, project and public finance, and institutional trust risk management and restructurings. In the finance area, he advises foreign and domestic bank clients on various types of financing transactions, including credit enhancement of taxable and non-taxable public debt issues, financing leases including cross border leases and derivative products. Mr. Pfeifer works extensively as a transactional and strategic adviser in significant bank litigation matters, including State of California proceedings against a major domestic bank involving the handling of billions of dollars of municipal and corporate debt funds.
From 1980 to 1981, Mr. Pfeifer was an associate in the law firm of Matsuo & Kosugi in Tokyo, Japan, where he authored articles in Japanese about duty and export taxes, security financing and California civil procedure. He speaks Mandarin Chinese and is conversant in Japanese.
