Sam Mills
Managing Director, Drexel Oceania

Samuel W. Mills, Jr. has been in commercial and merchant banking for over 35 years. He is presently Managing Director of Drexel Oceania LLC a private merchant bank in San Francisco. In 1998, he undertook an assignment as Acting Head of Asia of Caspian Securities Group an emerging markets investment bank. From 1984 to 1994 Mr. Mills was with Westpac Banking Corporation initially assigned as Senior Vice President and Chief Manager in charge of the Western Region of the United States and later as General Manger and Executive Vice President of Institutional Banking, Melbourne, Australia in charge of Corporate Banking, Financial Markets, Corporate Finance and the Derivatives Group for the states of Victoria, Tasmania, South Australia, Western Australia and Northern Territory. He started his banking career with Morgan Guaranty Trust Company of New York (1968-1983) working in various assignments in New York including the International Money Desk, the International Financial Management Group and the Export Finance Group. While at Morgan, Mr. Mills also worked in San Francisco, Los Angeles and Singapore (Morgan Guaranty & Partners, Ltd.). He served as an airborne infantry officer in the U.S. Army (1965-1967) commanding a mechanized nuclear weapons unit in the Republic of Korea.

Mr. Mills received a B.S. in Finance from Drexel Institute of Technology in 1965. He is a former director of The Pacific Bank, N.A. (NASDAQ listed), several private Australian companies and a former Associate Trustee of Drexel University.
