Ministries and Agencies

The Singapore Government: Provides information about not only government but also business, education, employment, health and more.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs: Manages Singapore's foreign policy and provides advice on Singapore's relations with other countries in order to protect and enhance Singapore's national interest through effective diplomacy.

Ministry of Trade and Industry: Recently re-organised into the Economics, Enterprise, Resource, Trade, International Business Development and Market Analysis Divisions with Corporate Development Division providing administrative support and information technology services. Promotes high and stable levels of economic growth and employment, so that all Singaporeans have ample opportunity to improve their standards of living.

Ministry of National Development (MND) : Established in 1959, MND is responsible for the physical development of Singapore through careful, long-term planning.

International Enterprise Singapore (IE Singapore): Restructured from the Singapore Trade Development Board. Now is the primary agency to help Singapore based companies who are willing and able to grow and internationalise successfully.

Singapore Business Federation

Economic Development Board (EDB): Plans and implements economic strategies for industry development and services promotion.

Ministry of Finance (MOF)

Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS): Central bank of Singapore. Formulates and executes Singapore's monetary and exchange rate policies for steady and non-inflationary economic growth.

Singapore Customs: A government agency under the Ministry of Finance. Formed on 1 April 2003, Singapore Customs is the lead agency on trade facilitation and revenue enforcement matters. Responsible for implementation of customs and trade enforcement measures including those related to free trade agreements and strategic goods.

Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources (MEWR): Delivers and sustains a clean and healthy environment and water resources for all in Singapore.

Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA): A government agency that administers the Business Registration Act, Companies Act and the Trust Companies Act. Regulates the formation of business firms and companies.

Singapore Standards, Productivity and Innovation Board (SPRING): Established in April 2002. The mission is to raise productivity so as to enhance Singapore's competitiveness and economic growth for a better quality of life for the people.

Housing & Development Board (HDB): Public housing authority. Provides affordable housing of a high quality and also helps to build communities.

Maritime and Port Authority (MPA): Protects Singapore's strategic maritime interests and promotes Singapore as a major port and international maritime center.

Department of Statistics: Develops and manages a national statistical information system of quality and integrity to support Singapore's social and economic development.

National Library Board (NLB): Focus on the learning capacity of the nation so as to enhance national competitiveness.
