Vietnam's Vinh Phuc Province is located on the Red River, 40 km from Hanoi. It is located close to Hanoi, with easy access to Yunnan Province in China as well as two of Vietnam's major ports.
The GDP per capita in Vinh Phuc is twice the national average. It has the third largest provincial budget in Vietnam and has one of the best investment environments in the country.
Vinh Phuc has experienced growth in excess of 18% per annum since 2001, converting from a primarily agricultural area to an increasingly industrialized economy, attracting both Toyota and Honda of Japan, Daewoo (bus production) and Lotte of Korea, Foxconn and Compal (laptop production) of Taiwan and many others. The value to California businesses to attend this briefing: easy access to door openers in one of Vietnam's most thriving provinces that is poised for considerable growth.
